Charles Haffner Was Found Dead Tuesday Night

Chas. Haffner, 67, was found dead near the home of John Davis Tuesday night about 9:00 o’clock by Harvey Davis, a son of Mr. Davis. It is said Mr. Haffner was last seen on Monday.

Mr. Haffner was at his farm northwest of Browning. He and his wife make their home with a daughter, Mrs. Laura McMullen near Canton. Mrs. Haffner is an invalid.

Besides the wife and daughter, he is also survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Eva Matthis, Browning and Mrs. Geneva Busbee of Canton and a son Harold of Canton. Another son, Floyd, who was in the navy at Pearl Harbor, is reported missing. He is also survived by one brother, Roy Haffner, address unknown, and four sisters, Mrs. Fred Robinson, Miss Ida Haffner and Mrs. Roy Geer, all of near Browning and Mrs. Nellie Parks of Frederick.

As we go to press no arrangements have been made for the funeral services.
