DANIEL N. HUMMER

Last Rites For Daniel Hummer

Daniel N. Hummer was born in Adams county, Pennsylvania, May 9, 1864. He died at the home of his nephew, Wesley V. Hummer, near Biglerville, Pa., May 12, 1930, aged 66 years and 3 days.

The deceased came to Fulton county, Illinois, in the year 1896. On April 5, 1903, he was united in marriage to Mary V. Goodwin to which union two children were born, Clara Effa, dying at the age of 7 months and Henry Franklin of near Biglerville, Pa., who survives to mourn the loss of a loving father. His wife preceded him in death 21 years ago.

Mr. Hummer united with the Church of the Brethren in 1908, living faithful until death. He also leaves to mourn his death, one brother, Tobias Hummer of Gettysburg, Pa., and many other relatives and friends both in Pennsylvania and here.

Short services were held at the home in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, conducted by Rev. W. H. Sternat. The remains were then brought here for burial. Services were held at Woodland, Thursday at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. E. O. Norris. Interment in the Woodland cemetery.

Daniel Hummer Former Astoria Dies In Penn.

Daniel Hummer died Monday at his home in Biglerville, Pa. His remains will be brought here tonight. Funeral services will be held at the Woodland church tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, conducted by Rev. E. O. Norris. Interment in Woodland cemetery.

He is survived by one son Henry, of Pa.
