Alice C. Severns, daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. James Severns, was born in Astoria, July 5, 1854 and died at her home near LaHarpe, Oct. 1, 1920, aged 66 years, 2 months and 26 days.
On Sept. 25, 1873 she was united in marriage with A. J. Harris of near LaHarpe. To them five children were born, namely: Edward of LaHarpe; William of Warsaw, and Elmer, Zada and Ralph at home. Besides her husband and children the deceased leaves four sisters and one brother to mourn her death. Mrs. Ida Stambaugh, a sister, resides in Astoria.
Burial was made in the LaHarpe cemetery.
