Curtis L. Gorsuch, 56, of Canton died at 5:26 p.m. June 9, 2025, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 19, 1968, in Canton, a son of Donald L. and Kathy Sebree Gorsuch. He married Christine Wilcoxen on Feb. 18, 1989, in Havana. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Derek (and Wendy Walker) Gorsuch of Macomb and Jessica (and Kody) Gravitt of Canton; two brothers, Brian (and Amy) Gorsuch of Cuba and Daniel (and Leslie) Gorsuch of Farmington; one sister, Kim Gorsuch of St. Louis, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Hunter, Nehemiah, Hayden and Valentina.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked along his father and brothers at Gorsuch Appliance in Canton for several years, and later owned and operated Gorsuch Realty and Auction in Canton for over 20 years, as he was very involved in the community, helping others when needed, volunteering at benefit auctions throughout the years. His professional pursuits included auctioneering, real estate sales and community service. He was a member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge #734 in Canton.
Services were held Monday at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory. Cremation rites were accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Curtis Gorsuch scholarship fund in care of Ipava State Bank in Canton.
