He was born Dec. 11, 1955, in Canton, the son of Jay Dee and Ruby Mae Richardson Groff. He married Alicia Groff. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Michael Groff, Dillon (and Kayla) Daniel and Jake Groff; five daughters, Brittany Daniel, Shelby Joseph, Katie Landato, Jennifer Walker and Jessie Groff; two sisters, Roberta (and John) Horton and Evelyn (and Clay) West; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a truck driver for over 40 years and logged over five million miles.
A memorial service celebrating Allen’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Tom Jones officiating.
