Gary Green

Gary Foster Green, 75, of Industry died Jan. 11, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Macomb, the son of Oscar and Dorothy Foster Green. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Nelson on May 3, 1974, in Canton. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Connie (and Don) Lookis of Riverton and Cindy (and Jamie) Deutsch of Shabbona; one sister, Beth (and Ron) Horwedel of Chatham; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He grew up in Table Grove. After graduating from VIT High School in 1965, he went to Spoon River College for Ag Mech and soon after was drafted to the United States Army, fighting in the Vietnam War. After his tour he moved to Peoria where he worked for Caterpillar and met his wife. In 1975, they moved back to Table Grove to work on the family farm and raise their daughters.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Industry Fire and Rescue.
