She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Woodstock Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Thomas and Twila Conner Armstrong. She married Willard Junior “Tiny” Greer on Feb. 16, 1941, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2014.
She also was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Reagan Bloomfield; two brothers, Giles Armstrong and George Armstrong; and one sister, Roberta Junk.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Greer of Rushville and Max (and Janet) Greer of Springfield; one sister, Madge Danner of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1940. She worked at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in the medical records department for many years before retiring.
Graveside services will be held at Rushville City Cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
