Willard "Tiny" GreerWillard Junior “Tiny” Greer, 92, of Rushville died at 4:30 a.m. March 28, 2014, at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

He was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Brown County, the son of Willard W. and Julia Kistler Greer. He married Wilma D. Armstrong on Feb. 16, 1941, in Keokuk, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Randy Greer of Rushville and Max (and Janet) Greer of Springfield; one sister, Rose Marie (and James P.) Rebman of Rushville; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Reagan Bloomfield.

He graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1939.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later worked at Mickleberry Packing Plant and Bohn Aluminum before retiring.

Services were held Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery with Military Honors by a U.S. Army Honors Detail and Schuyler American Legion Post #4.
