Terry Gossage

Terry W. Gossage, 47, of Rushville died at 11:06 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009, at his home.

He was born Oct. 23, 1961, in Rushville, a son of Jack and Joyce Settles Gossage. He first married Debbie Green. Later, he married Gail Tomlinson.

Surviving are two daughters, Shannon Owens of Colchester and Heather (and Sean) Barry of Macomb; his mother, Joyce Gossage of Rushville; two brothers, Kevin (and Dawn) Gossage and Sam (and Luan) Gossage, both of Rushville; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Gossage; one granddaughter, Destiny Gossage; and grandparents, Sam and Amelia Gossage and Wayne and Yvonne Settles.

He was a 1979 graduate of Rushville High School.

He first worked for the former Webster Industries in Macomb and Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville. In 1944, he became certified in heating and air conditioning repair and began working for Trone’s Appliance Center in Beardstown and was currently self employed.

He was a member of Schuyler County Coonhunters Association, and active in Boy Scouts when he was younger.

Services were held Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Brother Matt Haberman officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
