Donald Grubor

Donald GruborDonald Lee Grubor, 42, of Lewistown died at 2:52 a.m. March 22, 2008, at the Mason District Hospital emergency room in Havana.

He was born Jan. 12, 1966, in Canton, the son of Donald N. and Leta Easley Grubor. He married Mary Lou Hadsall on Dec. 31, 2001, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Lewistown; one daughter, Candy Howerter of Lewistown; one sister, Donna J. (and Leon) Bowling of 29 Palms, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

He was employed as a field service technician for Altorfer of Clinton. He also worked for Helena Chemical, Lewistown Ag and owned and operated Grubor Welding for several years. He was the deputy fire chief of Lewistown Fire and Rescue where he had been a fireman for 21 years. He retired from racing Late Model Race Cars in 2001.

He was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at his church with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery in rural Lewistown. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
