He was born March 30, 1920, in New York City, a son of Leo Luca and Lucia Gulotta Gagliano. He married Joyce Heath on May 29, 1959, in Manhattan, N.Y. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lucia Ehresman of Dickinson, Texas; one stepdaughter, Patti Busse of Buchanan Dam, Texas; one stepson, Joe Ehresman of Dickinson; one sister, Josephine “Giugi” Johnson of Frederick; one brother, Louis Gagliano Jr. of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Annette Lucille Gagliano; and one infant brother, Joseph Gagliano.
He was a recording engineer in the music industry and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Lewis Payne officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
