Eileen Gorsuch

Eileen GorsuchEileen Gorsuch, 80, of Rushville died at 10:14 a.m. May 1, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Camden Township, Schuyler County, the daughter of John and Gertrude Bebee Grafton. She married Charles Coffey Sr. on Dec. 31, 1945, in Rushville. He preceded her in death.

She married Gerald Gorsuch on Oct. 15, 1966, in Littleton. He died April 11, 1979.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Candy Quillen; and three brothers.

Surviving are one son, Charles “Charlie” (and Dee) Coffey of Rushville; one daughter, Carol (and Chris) Taylor of Rushville; two stepsons, Eldon (and Sheila) Gorsuch of Littleton and Virgil (and Janet) Gorsuch of Rushville; three stepdaughters, Roberta and (Terry) Stiles of Rushville, Kathy (and Mel) Huston of Winfield, Iowa, and Nancy (and Jim) Winkler of Montrose, Iowa; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

She attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville.

She worked at Mickelberry Packing Co., Jefferson Cafe, Davis IGA and Baker’s Jewelry before retiring.

Services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
