Paul E. Green, 72, of Peoria, died at 3:13 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 1995, at his home.

He was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Rushville, a son of Roy E. and Eva M. Byland Green. He married Norma M. Rose on Sept. 18, 1949. She died in August 1971 in Peoria. He married Irene M. Shrey on Oct. 18, 1971. She died Dec. 24, 1991, in Peoria. He married Ella M. Rynearson Thompson on March 7, 1992, in North Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Steven G. Thompson and Gary W. Thompson, both of Peoria; one daughter, Vickie L. Beller of Arnold, Mo.; one brother, Donald O. of Vermont; and seven grandchildren.

He was a World War II Air Force veteran. He was a storage control manager at Caterpillar Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He was a former deacon at North Memorial Baptist Church in Peoria and a member of Bayview Baptist Church in Washington. He was a member of Caterpillar Retirees Club and the Holiday Ramblers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. this afternoon at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria with Rev. Keith Thibo officiating. Burial will be in Trivoli Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bayview Baptist Church or Methodist Medical Center hospice program.
