Darrah D. Grove Dies At Age 85Darrah D. Grove Dies At Age 85Darrah D. Grove, 85, formerly of Astoria, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1980, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville.
Mr. Grove was born Sept. 18, 1895 in Woodland Township, the son of Henry and Emma Trone Grove. He married Nona Scott on July 2, 1921.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Richard C. of Quincy and Robert W. of North Augusta, N.C.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cline and Harold, both of Astoria; and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Curless of Astoria.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
He was a veteran of WW I and a retired farmer.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Howard Keim officiating.
