Life Long Resident Dies In Hospital

John Henry Grove of Astoria, died Thursday afternoon in the Graham hospital, Canton, where he was admitted the previous day for medical treatment.

Mr. Grove was born in Woodland township, June 12, 1866, a son of John and Sarah Haffner Grove. He was united in marriage to Emma Trone, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are six sons, Fred and Harold Grove of Astoria; Ollie Grove of Canton; John Grove, Summum; Darrah Grove, Danville, and Cline Grove of Bluff City; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Curless of Browning and Miss Mabel Grove of Astoria; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Falkenstein of Bluff City, Mrs. Daniel Horton of Peoria; Mrs. Sherman Argo of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Ethel Shields of Geidena, Calif.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial was in the Astoria cemetery.
