Adeline Graham Buried At Summum

Services for Mrs. Adeline F. “Addie” Graham, 75, who died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 1980, at her home at 23 W. Walnut, Canton, were at 11 a.m. Friday in Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. George McCarty officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.

Mrs. Graham had been employed at Graham Hospital in the dietary department for 24 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the LKD Sunday School class of the church and of the Grandmother’s Club.

She was born March 13, 1905, in Cedar County, Mo., a daughter of Myrtis A. and Elnora L. (Sandlen) Smith. She married Raymond Graham Nov. 11, 1922, in Fulton County and he died in 1941.

Surviving are three sons, William of Canton, Philip of Joliet and Marshall of Cuba; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Russell of Lewistown and Mrs. Wilma Widger of Canton; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother, Henry Smith of Canton and five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Lockard and Mrs. Fern Shaw, both of Lewistown, Mrs. Goldie Weese of Farmerville, and Mrs. Leona Vaughn and Mrs. Elsie Thompson, both of Canton.

Two sons, one granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
