Mrs. William V. (Dorothy C.) Gingerich, 69, of 502 N. Dudley, Macomb, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, June 16, 1980, in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
Born Aug. 19, 1910, in Adair, a daughter of Leslie A. and Myrtle Elwell Hammond, she married Mr. Gingerich June 19, 1948. He survives.
She was employed by the Hemp & Co., now the King Seeley Thermos Co., 22 years, retiring 15 years ago. She was a member of New Salem Christian Church 25 years.
Other survivors are one brother, Kenneth Hammond of Adair; four sisters, Hazel Burnhart and Letha Smith, both of Adair, Fern Marshall of Table Grove and Freda Landis of Decatur; and 10 nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Chapel in Macomb with Dr. O. F. Landis, a brother-in-law, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
