Mrs. Edna Gass Of Vermont Dies

Mrs. Edna Andrews Gass, 75, of Vermont, resident of Myers Nursing Home in Beardstown, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 24, 1980, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Mar. 5, 1905, in Vermont, the daughter of Andrew and Ella Hayes McDonald. She married Earl Andrews in 1922. She later married Russell Gass who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Vermont Christian Church and a Gold Star Sister of American Legion Post 26. She was owner of McDonald’s Tavern for 30 years before retiring several years ago.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charlene Crossman of Vermont; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, John McDonald of Vermont.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont witih Rev. Dan Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
