Mrs. Gertrude Gale Dies After Lengthy Illness

Mrs. Gertrude Gale, 71, died early Tuesday morning at the Snyder Nursing Home at Rushville. She had been ill for many months.

Born July 7, 1888, near Pleasant View, a daughter of Joel and Katherine Stockwell, she was married April 29, 1907 to Henry Gale, who preceded her in death, Aug. 6, 1957.

Other survivors are two sons, Mylo Gale of Astoria and Truman Gale of Vermont. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three sisters, Bessie McCurchy and Patience McCune of Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. Ethelyn Kelly of Summum.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Horton Funeral Home, by the Rev. C. W. Leonard. Burial will be in the Astoria cemetery.

Friends may call at the Horton Funeral Home Wednesday evening.
