She was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Peoria, a daughter of Lester and Edna M. Cook Hibbs. She married Phillip R. “Phil” Fitzjarrald Sr. on July 4, 1980, in Huntsville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2018.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Yvonne Newby; six brothers, Larry Hibbs, Lester Hibbs, Jack Hibbs, Jim Hibbs, Dave Hibbs and Willard Hibbs; and two grandchildren, Austin Fitzjarrald and Dylan Fitzjarrald.
Surviving are her special friend, Richard “Dick” Powell of Rushville; three sons, Phillip “Flip” (and Michele) Fitzjarrald, Michael (and Rebecca) Fitzjarrald, both of Rushville, and Shawn (and Tonya) Fitzjarrald of Camden; two brothers, Bob (and Shirley) Hibbs and Tim Hibbs; nine grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She attended Peoria schools and worked at Methode Electronics in Golden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville. Inurnment will follow in Camden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Thursday.
