Harry Ford

Harry L. Ford, 86, of Rushville died at 2:45 p.m. May 20, 2020, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Oct. 24, 1933, in Canton, the son of Harry N. and Edith Irene Berry Ford. He married Hallie Marie Baldwin on July 18, 1954, in Lewistown. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2019.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Virgil Ford; and one great-grandchild.

Surviving are two daughters, Becky M. Ford of Rushville and Cindy (and Todd) Byrum of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; two sons, Rodney Ford of Rushville and Gregory (and Becky) Ford of Ogden, Utah; one sister, Lelea Wilson of Smithfield; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was a life-long farmer. He also worked in the coal mine, at TP and W Railroad and International Harvester in Canton, until retiring.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Baughman Cemetery in Smithfield with Rev. David Long officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
