Hallie FordHallie Marie Ford, 82, of Rushville, formerly of Smithfield, died at 9:50 p.m. June 1, 2019, at Heritage Health, Therapy and Senior Center in Beardstown.

She was born May 24, 1937, in Moroa, a daughter of Corbin and Evelyn Bowden Baldwin. She married Harry Ford on July 18, 1954, in Lewistown. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Becky M. Briney of Rushville and Cindy (and Todd) Byrum of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; two sons, Rodney Ford of Rushville and Gregory (and Becky) Ford of Ogden, Utah; one brother, Richard (and Harriet) Baldwin of Smithfield; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Virgil Ford; one great-granddaughter; four brothers; and three sisters.

She was a life-long housewife and homemaker. She was active in volunteer work, receiving the President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2005.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. David Long officiating. Burial will follow in Baughman Cemetery in Smithfield. Visitation will be held Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
