Kenneth James France, 77, of Havana died at 6:47 a.m. Jan. 3, 2014, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
He was born July 23, 1936, in Fulton County, a son of Neville and Olive Curless France. He married Della Craggs on June 2, 1956, in Havana. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Havana; one son, Jim (and Andrea Butler) France of Astoria; three daughters, Vickie (and Eric) Walston of Petersburg and Peggy (and Charles) Lane and Lori (and Randy) Hammond, both of Bath; two sisters, Carol Irwin of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Mary Lou Potts of Havana; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Heaver; and one brother, Keith France.
He had worked for Caterpillar Inc., and farmed in Fulton County for over 34 years.
He was a member of Summum Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon and Elder.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
