Freda Mae Friday, 85, of Adair died at 2:20 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2003, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Huntsville, a daughter of Thomas L. and Sarah E. Stoneking Henry. She married Henry T. Friday on Sept. 19, 1933, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Feb. 17, 1982.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda; one granddaughter; two sisters; and five brothers.

Surviving are six sons, Henry Jr. (and Virginia), Jerry (and Alice) and Jim (and Brenda), all of Adair, John (and Mary Lou) of Macomb, Bill of Madison, Tenn., and Danny Joe (and Debbie) of Amboy; two daughters, Mary (and Orville) Schertz and Janet (and Dale) Hoyt, both of Adair; one sister, Retha Osborn of Eureka; 33 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She and her husband owned and operated Table Grove Skating Rink and Table Grove Cafe for many years. She later worked for Wal-Mart for 22 years, retiring in 2000.

She was a member of Bushnell Assembly of God Church and Industry Assembly of God Church.

Services were held Monday at Bushnell Assembly of God Church with Rev. Stephen Storms officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery near Table Grove. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell was in charge of arrangements.
