Woman Killed, Man Injured In Car Crash

A woman was killed and a man injured Monday in a two-car accident just south of Table Grove on U. S. Route 136.

Linda J. Bohanan, 36, of rural Table Grove apparently drove into the path of Rick S. Hickle, 21, of Vermont about 5 p.m., according to state police.

Hickle drove onto the shoulder of the road, trying to avoid the Bohanan car, but the two cars struck head-on.

Hickle was reported in good condition at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb, with moderate injuries.

Shawgo Memorial Home, Ipava, is handling arrangements.

Obituary For Linda Bohanan

Funeral services for Linda J. Bohanan, 36, of RR. Adair were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava, with Rev. David Arnett officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery.

Mrs. Bohanan died late Monday afternoon, May 5, 1980, when the car she was driving collided head-on with another car on Route 136, one-eighth of a mile south of Table Grove. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

She was born Aug. 11, 1943, at New London, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Freda Mae (Henry) Friday. She married Boby Bohanan on Oct. 28, 1975, at Lewistown.

She was a member of the Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband; her parents of Adair; three daughters, Letha Waters of Scottsdale, Ariz., Theresa and Danna Waters at home; two sons, Gregory and Grant Waters at home; two stepdaughters, Lori McCament and Christine Bohanan of Bushnell; one stepson, John Bohanan of Bushnell; six brothers, Henry Jr., Jerry, William and James Friday, all of Adair; John Thomas and Danny Joe Friday of Macomb; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schertz and Mrs. Janet Buskirk of Adair.
