GLADYS (HANCOCK) FORSMAN

Gladys Forsman

Gladys Forsman, 80, of Astoria died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Sapulpa, Okla., the daughter of Toy and Effie Marie Hodge Hancock. She married Milton Forsman on Dec. 26, 1936, in Bluffton, Ind. He died Feb. 24, 1996.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, three stepbrothers and one grandson.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas of Astoria and Edward of Peoria; one daughter, Mary Hardin of Zephyrhills, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

Graveside services were held July 11 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Indian School in Chamberlain, S.D.
