Raymond G. Fields, 92, of Lewistown died at 12:27 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Prairieview Care Center.
He was born Nov. 9, 1908, in Rogers, Ark., a son of William H. and Nance F. Waldon Fields. He married Nelda L. Brainard on Feb. 4, 1933, in Bentonville, Ark. She died July 1, 1985.
He also was preceded in death by one son, Jesse; two brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are three sons, William of Charlotte, Tenn., Donald of Havana and Dale of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Betty Fields of Dallas, Texas, and Shirley Mayall of Fort Worth; one brother, Cecil of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was a welder at WABCO in Peoria until retiring in 1971.
Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
