Jesse Raymond Fields, 62, of Galesburg, died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 1998, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born Dec. 20, 1935, in Astoria, a son of Raymond G. and Nelda Brainard Fields. He married Dixie Mason on June 10, 1955. He later married Sandra Sims. He then married Marie Hatch. He last married Donna Marie Plym on Aug. 3, 1980, in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are his father of Lewistown; two sons, Jeff of Keller, Texas, and Ray of Saginaw, Texas; one stepson, Bryan Syron of Galesburg; one daughter, Pamela Lambert of Thayer, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Christi Syron of Galesburg; three brothers, Donald of Havana, W.C. of Nashville, Tenn., and Dale of Cut Off, La.; two sisters, Shirley Newburn of Arlington, Texas, and Betty Fields of Carrollton, Texas; and six grandchildren.
He was a shipping and receiving clerk at the former Outboard Marine Corp. Gale Products Division in Galesburg for 15 years, retiring on Sept. 4, 1981.
Services were held Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Kirk Kendall officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
