Mrs. Edith Fisher, 97, lifetime Astoria area resident, died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday morning in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born July 16, 1873 near Astoria, a daughter of Joseph and Jane Welker Butler. She was married to Bruce Fisher on Feb. 15, 1893, in Schuyler County. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Zenita LeMarr of Hackensack, Minn. and Mrs. Cleo Pugh of Adair; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; and 14 great, great-grandchildren. Two daughters and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
Friends may call at Shawgo’s Wednesday afternoon and evening.
