Bruce Fisher Died Thursday In Rushville Hospital

Bruce Fisher, well known in this community, died at the Culbertson hospital in Rushville, Thursday evening at about five o’clock, aged 57 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Mr. Fisher, has for the past few years been making his home with his sister, Mrs. W. N. Skiles near Sheldons Grove.

Mr. Fisher was the son of Jacob S. and Malinda Fisher, both deceased. He was born July 27, 1873, [film scratched — illegible] occupied by W. N. Skiles and family. Nearly all his life has been spent in that community, excepting three or four years when he resided in Missouri.

In February of 1893 he was united in marriage to Miss Edith Butler. To this union four daughters were born: Mrs. Lyle Danner of Ipava; Mrs. Zeneta Mower of Huron, So. Dakota; Mrs. Cleo Pugh of Vermont; Mrs. Musette Biggerstaff of Huron, South Dakota, who preceded him in death on December 25, 1927. Besides his three daughters, he is survived by eleven grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. W. N. Skiles, Sheldons Grove, Mrs. Laura Cooley and Mrs. Grace Weir, both of Huron, South Dakota.

Mr. Fisher had been failing in health for many months and during the time he was patient and uncomplaining to those about him. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Skiles, conducted by Rev. John Davis and assisted by Rev. W. H. Day. Interment in the Price cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Modern Woodmen.
