Etta Furnace, daughter of Smith and Susan Sayers Furnace, was born March 2, 1885, in Astoria township and departed this life at the Lincoln State Hospital, Oct. 11, aged 61 years, 7 months and 9 days.
She leaves to mourn her departure one brother, Charles Furnace of near Astoria and one sister, Cora Furnace, also of Lincoln.
Etta was raised in a Christian home, accepted Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove church.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Oak Grove church, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial in Oak Grove cemetery.
