Mrs. Susan Furnace Died At Her Home Friday

Mrs. Susan Amelia Furnace died Friday afternoon at her home here following an illness of several months. She had been suffering from a heart ailment. Had she lived until Saturday she would have celebrated her 77th birthday anniversary.

Born July 18, 1865, in Hiramsburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of Waterman and Eliza Burlingame. She was married to T. M. Furnace who preceded her in death a year ago.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lela Sweeney of Vermont, Mrs. Jeness Bollinger of Springfield and Mrs. Mary Mendenhall of near Fairview, and four sons, Leslie Furnace of Roseville, Nelson of South Sioux City, Neb., William of Springfield, and Sgt. Dean Furnace of Norfolk, Virginia.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. H. Sheldon Pattison. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery.
