She was born March 13, 1945, in Pontiac, a daughter of William and Hazel Hamilton Ziehr. She married Golden Edwards Jr. on March 11, 1962, in Dwight. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2013.
She also was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Raegan Lee Farr.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet (and Dale) Detrick, Jackie Gilson (partner Jeff Dowson) and Jennie (and Rob) Mulder; one sister, Inez Kay Rowcliffe; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Browning Grade School PTO and a 4-H Club Leader. She later owned and operated Kountry Expressions in Astoria, where she did sewing and alterations for many throughout the area. She volunteered at the Browning Senior Center, the Rushville Help Center and the Schuyler County Food Basket. She was a frequent supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Schuyler County Humane Society. She also was a member of Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Browning Senior Center. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Schuyler County Food Basket or the Schuyler County Humane Society.
