David “Bill” Edsall

Bill EdsallDavid W. “Bill” Edsall, 95, of rural Canton died Nov. 13, 2019, surrounded by his family at the Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Canton.

He was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Ringling, Okla., a son of Merrel E. and Mildred Lowe Edsall. He married Anna Marie Klinefelter on March 17, 1946, in Beardstown. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Anita Edsall and David L. (and Bev Martindale) Edsall, both of Lewistown, Susie (and Dean) Bidney of Ipava, Kenneth Edsall of Clermont, Fla., Carol (and Curt) Cook of Gilson and Sandra (and Greg Mason) Edsall of Canton; one sister, Margaret (and Bill) Branson of Ipava; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey (and Fred) Lasley; and two brothers, Roy Edsall and Merrel (and Jean) Edsall.

He farmed in Fulton County his whole life, and hauled gas for Central Butane for many years. He also was a handyman and carpenter in the local area for many years.

A graveside service was held Tuesday at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton was in charge of arrangements.
