Lloyd Easley, 70, of Ipava, died at 3:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Ipava, a son of Oscar and Edna Johnson Easley. He married Ida Rose Danner. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Janet Colston and Linda Blemler, both of Ipava; one son, Doug of Springfield; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Lawrence of Canton and Otis of Las Vegas; and one sister, Ernestine Andrews of Jacksonville, Fla.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He and his brother owned and operated Easley Brothers Skelly Service Station in Ipava for 30 years. He then was a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers. A Korean War Army veteran, he was a member of Ipava American Legion Post 17 and a lifetime member of Lewistown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5001.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery in Astoria, with military honors accorded by his VFW and American Legion Posts.
