Eugene Eberle, 62, of Springfield, Mo., since 1990, formerly of Bartonville, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 1995, at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo.

He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Spring Bay, a son of Frank Goulding and Grace Strubhar. He married Janet A. Pennington on June 7, 1953, in Adair. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Gloria J. Eberle of Peoria; two sons, Ricky L. of Springfield, Mo., and Charles E. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Frank Goulding Jr. of Bushnell; four sisters, Betty Herrick of Cuba, Delores Spigelmyer of Mapleton, Marilyn Groff of Astoria and Sharon Goulding of Peoria; and two grandchildren.

One sister preceded him in death.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. A member of the Teamsters union, he was a truck driver working for Kroger for the last 20 years, retiring in 1990.

Graveside services were held this morning at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
