Mildred Emerick

Mildred M. Emerick, 69, of Quincy, formerly of Astoria, died Saturday evening, Aug. 12, 1995, at her home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1925, in Astoria, a daughter of Noah and Lydia Gibble Hamm. She married Clarence “Fritz” Emerick on April 12, 1947. He died March 31, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Verle Hamm.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Emerick, Thomas Emerick, and Scott Emerick, all of Quincy; one brother, Wayne Hamm of Naperville; and seven grandchildren.

She worked in the office at Bueter Baking Co. for 30 years, then 17 years at Nieman Food Corporate Offices until her retirement. She was a graduate of Gem City Business College. She was also an avid sports enthusiast.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where funeral services will be held today with Rev. John Beveridge officiating. Duker and Haugh are in charge of arrangements.
