Dick DiseronRichard Paul “Dick” Diseron, 86, of Rushville, formerly of Camden, died at 7:50 a.m. April 19, 2019, at the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.

He was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Huntsville Township, Schuyler County, a son of Verne Anderson and Edna V. Agans Diseron. He married Ruth Ross on Aug. 10, 1957, in Concord. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Janice (and Tim) Bryant of Rushville; one brother, Wayne (and Helen) Diseron of Rushville; one sister, Betty (and Charles) Shelts of Rushville; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Diseron; one sister, Vera (and Ivan) Vancil; and three brothers, Maurice (and Alberta), Donald and Russell Diseron.

A 1950 graduate of Rushville High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, from 1953-55, 16 months of which were served in Korea itself.

He was a lifelong farmer.

He was first a member of Shiloh Methodist Church and later Camden United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Guthrie Pierce Post #1239 VFW in Beardstown and the ILIAMO Model T Club.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Dan Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery with military rites by the U.S. Army Burial Detail and the Schuyler American Legion Post #4.

Memorials may be made to Camden United Methodist Church or the Great River Honor Flight.
