Russell Diseron

Russell DiseronRussell C. Diseron, 83, of Rushville died at 11:40 a.m. Oct. 15, 2013, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born July 12, 1930, in Huntsville Township, Schuyler County, a son of Verne Anderson and Edna V. Agans Diseron. He first married Virgie Turner on May 31, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 4, 1953. He later married Karen Shields on July 18, 1970, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Vera Vancil of Macomb and Betty (and Charles) Shelts of Rushville; and two brothers, Richard (and Ruth) Diseron of Huntsville and Wayne (and Helen) Diseron of Rushville.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice and Donald Diseron; and two nephews, Lloyd and Rodney Diseron.

A 1948 graduate of Augusta High School, he first started farming. He later owned his own trucking company working through Two Rivers FS. He also was a driver for Western Commercial, hauling liquid food products.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rushville.

Services were held Friday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Steve Pichaske officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home or Schuyler County Humane Society.
