Glenn DoddsGlenn Arthur Dodds, 72, of rural Frederick died at 5:40 a.m. April 30, 2018, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born June 13, 1945, in Macomb, a son of Giles Otis and Eleanor June Thompson Dodds. He never married.

Surviving are three brothers, Warren (and Geri) Dodds of Vermont, John (and Carol) Dodds of Sugar Grove and James (and Phyllis) Dodds of Industry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Root and Rosemary McFalls; and one brother, Phillip Dodds.

He attended Fey-Davis and Hatfield schools and graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1963.

He served almost four years in the U.S. Air Force, during the Vietnam War, in Texas, Japan and South Dakota as a Cryptographic Repair Technician earning the rank of Sergeant.

He farmed, worked for Tomlinson Fertilizer, welded at International Harvester in Canton, maintained sawmill equipment for Huey Lumber and worked at their wood treatment plant.

He was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Charla Meyers officiating. Military services also will be held by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and a U.S. Air Force Honor Detail. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday.
