She was born July 5, 1926, in Peoria, a daughter of Louis and Cora A. LaFollette Sylvester. She married Everette L. Drawve on March 13, 1965, in Alton. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Monica (and Douglas) Tjarks of Cary, N.C.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Gilham and Dorothy Brown; and two brothers, Robert “Dutch” and Howard Sylvester.
She worked as a key punch operator for Caterpillar in Peoria for 31 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of Tyng Memorial Church in Peoria and Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Stephen Bounds officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
