Marilyn "Peg" DannerMarilyn June “Peg” Danner, 82, of Astoria died at 11:55 p.m. Aug. 31, 2015, at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.

She was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, Ill., a daughter of Harvey and Verna May Horton Bubb Sr. She married Bill Danner on July 14, 1973, in Astoria. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Linda (and Rodger) Schneider and Teresa (and Robbie) Hamm, both of Astoria; one son, Jim (and Carolyn) Foutch of Havana; one brother, Harvey “Buzz” (and Doris) Bubb Jr. of Bethany, Okla.; one sister, Shirley (and Noel) Smith of White Hall; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margery McMullen and Helen Wright.

She was a homemaker, worked at Astoria Fibra Steel and taught china painting art.

She was a member of Astoria Christian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was past Worthy Matron, Astoria American Legion Auxiliary, Spoon River China Art Guild and The World Organization of China Painters for over 40 years.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Ted Shirley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
