Jo Anne DalyJo Anne Daly, 73, of Camden died at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 31, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born June 22, 1936, in Clayton, the daughter of Riley and Geneva Peacock Stevens. She married Charles E. Daly on Sept. 1, 1956, in Clayton. He survives.

Also surviving are eight children, James Patrick Daly and Jon Michael Daly, both of Camden, Joseph Kelly Daly of Clayton, Cindy Beth (and Nick) Brasel and Cathy Gina Knous, both of Beardstown, Cara Lynn Kramer and Christy Ann (and Pat) McColez, both of Quincy and Connie Sue McColez of Beardstown; two brothers, Donald (and Joan) Stevens of Destin, Fla., and Benjamin (and Pam) Stevens of Pekin; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amber Marie Kramer; and one brother, Clarence Stevens.

She attended Blackburn College.

She first worked as an airline reservationist for Eastern Airlines in Chicago, before her marriage.

She was a member of Camden United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women.

She volunteered at the HELP Center in Rushville.

Services were held Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Ron Cox and Pastor George Buck officiating. Burial was in Camden West Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church or the Activity Fund at Heritage Manor South in Beardstown.
