Paul Ray Demott, 83, of Quincy, formerly of Vermont, died at 5:50 p.m. Aug. 21, 2008, at Sycamore Health Center in Quincy. He was born April 29, 1925, in Table Grove, a son of John and Hattie Emory Demott.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Masten of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ross, Russell and Harold Demott; and two sisters, Pauline Demott and Ruth Fricke.
He was a member of Vermont Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Vermont Cemetery with Rev. Robert Green officiating. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.
