Clyde Dean

Clyde Dean, 91, of Vermont died at 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Wesley Health Care Center in Macomb.

He was born Feb. 19, 1912, in Lewis Station, Mo., a son of Daniel and Grace Hankins Dean. He married Fredrica Fredrick. He later married Velma Lybarger Crabtree on Jan. 5, 1955. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Richard; one stepson, Rennie (and Theresa) Crabtree of Macomb; one stepdaughter, Marla (and Don) Butcher of Vermont; three grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Harry; and an infant sister.

He retired from Bader & Co. He then was a foreman for Stanford O'Hern stock farms and worked as a carpenter.

Services were held Tuesday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Tim Gilliland officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
