Laura K. Danner, 88, of Galesburg, formerly of rural Gilson, died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 1995, at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg.
She was born Jan. 2, 1907, in Astoria, the daughter of Fred and Ida Lockard Kost. She married Grover W. Danner on June 1, 1924, in Vermont. He died Feb. 20, 1973. One son, Wilbur, and one brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Nelson of Galesburg; and three grandchildren.
She worked at Sears Roebuck & Co., at the former Eary and Sullivan Ladies Lingerie and at the former Klines, all in Galesburg. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville and the Burlington-Northern Veterans Association in Galesburg. She was a volunteer at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at her church with Rev. Michel D. Clark officiating. Burial was in Knoxville Cemetery. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville was in charge of arrangements.
