George I. Davis, 71, of 1207 Canal St., Beardstown, died at 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 8, 1980, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
He was born Aug. 23, 1908, in Shelby County, the son of Jefferson and Amanda Keller Davis. On July 11, 1931, he was married to Georgia Yeager in Beardstown. She died in June of 1975.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Ruby) Dober of Creve Coeur, Mrs. James (Virginia) Thomas of Astoria and Mrs. George (Helen) Lucas of Lewistown; two sons, Howard of Beardstown and Donnie of Astoria; two brothers, Leonard and Bill, both of Beardstown; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Northcutt Funeral Home in Beardstown with Rev. Frank Washburn officiating. Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
