Charlie Derry Of Vermont Dies

Charlie W. Derry, 64, a Vermont farmer, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday in the Culbertson Hospital in Rushville where he had been a patient five weeks.

Mr. Derry was born Jan. 9, 1906, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, the son of Warren D. and Rosa Etta Shores Derry. He had never married.

Surviving are two brothers, Lawrence S. and Russell R. Derry, both of Vermont, and four sisters, Mrs. Nellie E. Stambaugh of Astoria, Mrs. Laura L. Brown and Mrs. Stella M. Hunter, both of Vermont, and Mrs. Lola M. Trone of London Mills. His parents and a sister, Mabel, died previously.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Carl H. Anderson officiating. Burial was in Phillips Cemetery.
