Mrs. Erma Davis Dies At Age 86

Mrs. Erma Davis, 86, a lifetime Astoria area resident, died Thursday at 8 a.m. in the Snyder Nursing Home in Rushville. She had been ill several years.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Rev. D. E. Skiles officiated and burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

She was born April 7, 1884, in Pleasant Township to Corwin and Mary Ellen Belless Cooper. She married Elmer Davis, Nov. 23, 1904. He died Nov. 12, 1934.

Surviving are one son, Denzil Davis of Astoria; one daughter, Mrs. Muriel Skiles of Browning; 8 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were one son and three grandchildren.
