MAUDE E. (McDUNE) DAY

Former Resident Dies Thursday

Mrs. Maude E. Day, 88, 1188 W. Main St., Galesburg, died there at 5:15 a.m. Thursday.

Born in Lorraine, Ill., Oct. 8, 1881, she married the Rev. William Henry Day in Quincy in 1903.

Rev. Day served in the ministry for the Methodist Church in Central Illinois until his death in 1960. Mrs. Day has resided in Galesburg since that time.

She is survived by one son, William H., of Morton; one daughter, Mrs. J. Wesley Eagle, of Galesburg; one brother, Frank McDune of Waterloo, Ia.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church Chapel. Burial was at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Day was a former minister of the local Methodist Church several years. Their daughter, Ellen, graduated from Astoria High School. The family will be remembered by many Astoria folks.
